Alfrere Sans Released

Alfrere Sans has now released on Myfonts and Fontspring.

Alfrere Sans is a clean Sans Serif display family inspired by a well-known 1950s television caption. The family of seven faces have been designed for independent use, but they also have an extra feature. All faces have identical metrics and can be overlaid with each other, to yield an unending range of multi-coloured lettering effects. Bring a touch of the 5o’s to your next poster design. Better yet, explore the world of multi-coloured overlaid typefaces….

The Whole Family

We’ve added the final two family members to the Alfrere Sans family, so here’s the whole thing. A particular feature of the family is the ability to overlay the different typefaces over each other to achieve multi-coloured effects:

Here’s a sampling of the Alfrere family (inspired by a well known, if rather vintage, television series‘ titles). To date, we’ve developed five typefaces for this family, though we still have a couple more in mind. As shown in this specimen, all five typefaces have the same widths and metrics so that they can be set identically and overlayed to create multi-colour effects. Of course, each of the five faces can also be used on its own…
