Seen on Vintage Me Oh My! today. We can’t help but wonder if this could be recreated as an Opentype typeface with a sufficiently elaborate set of ligatures. A project for the future perhaps…

Straightening Things Out…

Yesterday we posted some rather lovely lettering from the Coliseum Theatre in London. That lettering was seen at a rather odd angle because of the restrictions of on the spot photography. Here’s a sketch developed in an attempt to show those letters as viewed in the normal ‘straight ahead’ manner. A design inspiration with future possibilities we think… with overtones of the Arts and Crafts movement, combined with Mr Rennie Mackintosh.
