The last day of our week of travel, We thought we’d have a cool change today, so we’re travelling with Royal Norsk Lines to see the Fjords. Today’s poster has a distinct 1960s feel. This design uses Paragon Regular and Paragon Small Capitals Condensed.

Another visit to Italy today, and a distinct 1950s feel for today’s poster. Here we are invited to consider the merits of the Amalfi coast as a holiday destination. This design showcases our forthcoming ‘Sophie J’ family in its regular and bold forms. We expect to release this in the next week or so.

We thought we’d go a little more modern with the fifth day of our travel poster series-hence we have a modern(ish) ship, and a ladscape formatted poster. Magdelene Sans tells us about the delights of travel on the Duchess of Cambridge on her UK to Australia run. the pity of it is, in real life you can’t travel from the UK to Australia in this eminently civilised fashion any more. One has to resort instead to the airborne cigar tube. It may be quicker, but…

We thought we’d introduce a little irony into today’s travel poster. Here’s a nice illustration of the joys of an English summer’s day-or at least an English summer’s day as we remember them, perhaps things have changed with global warming. Anyway – Leibix offers us an antidote to all that gloom in the form of Australian sunshine. Somehow, this causal fun look seems almost timeless.

We’ve always liked the reckless optimism of a certain type of English seaside resort advertising. Here, Metropole and Metropole Engraved encourage us to view Filey – a northern seaside ‘resort’ – as the Riviera of the North. So, it’s off to Filey on the train, but we recommend packing a few woolens to wear over the swimsuit!
