The idea of ‘Pop-Up Stores’, an American phenomena, which come and go to sell products for particular events or marketing marketing campaigns is a fairly new on to us. ‘Wired’ magazine, devoted to the latest electronic consumer goods is also not amongst the regular bedtime reading of anyone at Greater Albion (that we know of).
Notwithstanding all of that we were more than somewhat gratified when a colleague of ours passed on a link to this article promoting the opening night of Wired Magazine‘s eighth annual pop-up store in New York. The reason for this gratification? If you examine the typographic mural in the background of the photograph below, you will see that it is all typeset in typefaces drawn from our Alfrere Sans family. We like to commend the magazine on its excellent typographic taste…are we biased? Perish the thought!
