We’ve all heard the story of the famous “KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON” poster- designed as the admirably stiff upper lipped (some of us still admire such things) response of the British government in the event of invasion in World War II. The invasion never came, and the poster was never used, but there were two other designs in the same set which were put in to use:
There is “Freedom is in Peril Defend it With All Your Might”, a statement which certainly rings true today. We do like the juxtaposition of the determined lady knitting with the poster. Mittens for servicemen we wonder?
