Something Happening At Last!

Eurobia is a family of two typefaces – Regular and Plain.  They are display faces with a strongly European feel and a strong flavour of the 1920s. My suggestion would be to use them for poster or banner work, or packaging or cover design, with the heading text set in Eurasia Regular and subsidiary text set in Eurobia plain.

Just Released

Our four latest typeface families have now released on Fontspring and on Myfonts.  Here are a few more sample images displaying Landsdowne Commerical,Wellmere Sans, Friendly Shaded Sans and Trivette.  We know these four projects have taken a while to come to fruition, but we think they are worth the wait.

‘Landsdowne Commercial’ is a development of one of our designer’s earlier public domain releases, ‘Landsdowne’.  All glyphs have been completely redrawn and refined.  An extensive range of stylistic alternates and ligatures have been added, as well as a completely new bold face and several forms of numerals.  Landsdowne commercial is ideal for period-inspired design work, such as posters and book covers as well for clear elegant communications.

Wellmere Sans is humanist a ‘sans serif’ typeface combining distinctive character with easy legibility. The emphasis here is on elegant simplicity and clarity. No alternate forms, no ligatures, just good simple design and elegance giving clarity and ease of communication.  Ideal for timeless presentation of information, signs, posters, computer displays and so forth.

‘Friendly Shaded Sans’ is just what the name says. It’s a chubby and cheerful Sans Serif typeface that is ideal for poster work, headings and informal design generally.

Trivette is an ‘All Capitals’ calligraphic display face, where all upright strokes are rendered as curves and where everything approaching the vertical are rendered in threes.  That’s probably as clear as mud, but the results combine charm and legibility with a decorative period air.  Recommended for poster work where a sense of dignified fun is important.

Two New Releases on Fontspring

Our two latest releases have just launched on Fontspring.

Bluebottle is a lively fun family of typefaces, a boisterous fun design, Bluebottle brings a distinctive cheerful character where ever it’s used. Use Bluebottle to bring life and fun wherever you will.

Solidarius is a chubby, friendly typeface which captures the innate legibility of well done felt-tip marker lettering. It’s ideal for any poster needing that ‘hand-lettered’ look combined with optimum legibility.

Capital, Admiral!

Here’s a full set of Capitals for our forthcoming release, Admiral-inspired by an architect’s Art Nouveau lettering on the facade of a local hostelry.

Showcasing Corsham

Corsham is currently offered at a 40% discount on Myfonts.

Metropole Launches on Myfonts.com

The Metropole family f three faces- Regular, Engraved and Duo -has now released on Myfonts.com.

Metropole is an exercise in combing the curvaceous lines of the Art Nouveau with the solid character and simplicity of Art Deco.  The resulting three display faces combine the spirit of the 20s and of the thirties, creating lively fun display faces for headings, signage and banners.  These characterful faces with clear simple outlines are also ideal to lend a distinctive air to your web pages, or to create a distinctive ‘house-style’ for lettering.

Corsham Also Launched on Myfonts

The Corsham family is now available on Myfonts.  Corsham was inspired by traditional stonemason’s engraved lettering designs.  Designed to be used alone, or in combination with our Corton family, it has wonderfully lively air, with distinctive lively serifs and beautifully swashed downstrokes. Four faces are offered-regular bold and black weights as well as a condensed form.  All faces include a range of Opentype features, including ligatures and old-style numerals.  The Corsham faces merge ‘olde-worlde’ charm with fun character, yet remaining clear and legible for text use.

Corsham is designed to complement our recently updated Corton family.  Both families can be purchased together in the Mason’s Value Pack.
