Just Released

Our four latest typeface families have now released on Fontspring and on Myfonts.  Here are a few more sample images displaying Landsdowne Commerical,Wellmere Sans, Friendly Shaded Sans and Trivette.  We know these four projects have taken a while to come to fruition, but we think they are worth the wait.

‘Landsdowne Commercial’ is a development of one of our designer’s earlier public domain releases, ‘Landsdowne’.  All glyphs have been completely redrawn and refined.  An extensive range of stylistic alternates and ligatures have been added, as well as a completely new bold face and several forms of numerals.  Landsdowne commercial is ideal for period-inspired design work, such as posters and book covers as well for clear elegant communications.

Wellmere Sans is humanist a ‘sans serif’ typeface combining distinctive character with easy legibility. The emphasis here is on elegant simplicity and clarity. No alternate forms, no ligatures, just good simple design and elegance giving clarity and ease of communication.  Ideal for timeless presentation of information, signs, posters, computer displays and so forth.

‘Friendly Shaded Sans’ is just what the name says. It’s a chubby and cheerful Sans Serif typeface that is ideal for poster work, headings and informal design generally.

Trivette is an ‘All Capitals’ calligraphic display face, where all upright strokes are rendered as curves and where everything approaching the vertical are rendered in threes.  That’s probably as clear as mud, but the results combine charm and legibility with a decorative period air.  Recommended for poster work where a sense of dignified fun is important.

Another Project Approaching Completion…

Perhaps, in this context at least, approaching doesn’t quite mean nearing, just yet.  I am rather pleased with the way this is taking shape though.

I think the family needs to feature at least one other weight, or perhaps more?

Three New Releases on Fontspring…

Three of our latest projects, Alfrere Banner, Barollo and Lugano have just launched on Fontspring.  All three projects will have been familiar to our regular readers over the last few months (indeed, days, in one case) but here are some fresh images as a short reminder.  We seem to have a wheeled transport theme on our mind just lately…

Lanvier Releases

The Lanvier family is also now launched through Fontspring and Myfonts.

Lanvier is an all capital display face, inspired by the thirties streamline era look.  The family is offered in four style, Regular, Oblique, Double Oblique and Reverse Oblique, as well as two weights, Regular and bold.  Bring the thirties back to life in all their chromium plated, streamlined and fast moving glory with the Lanvier family.

Something Else…

Here’s another of our previously started but unfinished projects…we find there are just too many good (we hope) ideas and not enough time to work on them all. We are trying to have a round of tidying up and finishing things off though.

We don’t actually think we’ve previewed this particular idea here before, but ‘Alfrere Banner’ is a masthead typeface designed to complement our existing ‘Alfrere Sans’ family.  The original Alfrere Sans family had a delightful industrial/streamline functional feel, which we feel we’ve preserved in this case.  Anyway, here’s a preview:
